Ultra-High Vacuum Scanning Tunneling Microscope

The RHK Ultra High Vacuum 300 Scanning Tunneling Microscope (STM) is designed for low noise high resolution STM imaging under ultra high vacuum conditions. The sample can be heated up to 600 K and cooled to 77 K depending on the needs of the user. The chamber also has a Argon sputter gun that can be used either for bombarding a sample (such as a single crystal) or for cleaning the STM tip.

STM tips can be fabricated on demand.
